The wait is over! PT PRACHUAP GRAND PRIX 2021 has come back on 19-23 January 2022 after being postponed due to the spread of covid-19 in November 2021. The event organizer has fully prepared the matches, the race tracks, equipment, and facilities to accommodate tourists
Prachuap Khiri Khan, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), and other related organizations have joined hands to hold the PT PRACHUAP GRANDPRIX 2021 at PT Prachuap Circuit in Prachuap Khiri Khan. This year’s event will be held as a street circuit type so two routes will be temporarily closed to use as a race track: Ao Prachuap Road and Khao Chong Krachok Road from 07.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m. and from 01.00 p.m. to 06.30 p.m. There are 4 types of races in total: 1) Siam GT 25 cars, 2) Siam Truck 22 cars, 3) Siam 1500/1500 Group N 25 cars, and 4) Siam Eco. This national event is very popular among both Thai and foreign tourists so the event organizer aims to make the event spectacular, in order to attract visitors and stimulate tourism and economy, as well as generating income for local communities.
The event will be held under strict preventive measures in order to prevent the spread of covid-19. The event will also be limited to staff and contestants only. The matches will be broadcast live via Facebook: PT Maxnitron Motorsport to reduce mass gatherings. Most importantly, all staff and contestants must present a vaccine passport that shows proof of complete vaccination and they will be tested every 72 hours by the ATK method.
