Wat Umong

Wat Umong is another old temple in Chiang Mai. It is a Dhamma practice centre situated among serene nature. The highlight of the temple is a small tunnel with connected passages. There is an ancient mural in the tunnel and a pagoda situated on top of it. Archaeologists suspect that it was built in the mid-16th century. This is another highly revered temple in Chiang Mai, so tourists often come here to make merit.
